Kishou Arima is a famed Special Class Ghoul Investigator known as the CCG's Reaper. He is undefeated as a Ghoul Investigator and at some point was formerly partnered with Take Hirako.
His investigative skills and prowess in combat has led many investigators such as [Koutarou Amon](https://anilist.co/character/88407/Koutarou-Amon) to admire him.
Tokyo Ghoul:Re
He later passes down his Yukimura 1/3 (Koukaku) quinque to [Sasaki Haise](https://anilist.co/character/88932/Haise-Sasaki), a rank 1 investigator and mentor of Quinx squad.
Along with [Akira Mado](https://anilist.co/character/88838/Akira-Mado), he is the overseer of the Quinx squad and keeps a check on Sasaki Haise along with the Quinx members.
~!He ends his battle with [Kaneki](https://anilist.co/character/87275/Ken-Kaneki) by taking his own life. As he is dying he reveals that those of the Sunlit Garden are a species called half-humans who, despite having a ghoul parent, can eat human food and cannot manifest kagune. Half-humans, although stronger than average humans, have shorter lifespans than that of a regular human and age faster, and Arima states that he was already dying and his act merely sped up the process. He admits that he always hated taking lives as he had no choice in the matter to begin with and is glad to finally be able to leave something. He tells Kaneki to make it seem as though he's the one who killed him; however, once Hirako and Squad 0 find the two it turns out they already knew of Arima's plans and were ordered by him to assist Kaneki's escape.!~
